This program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
This diploma program focuses on preparing graduates for a career in business administration in a wide variety of businesses and industries.
It gives graduates a solid theoretical and practical foundation in the application of accepted business tools, procedures, and processes in business management and operational practices.
Successful completion prepares graduates to perform a wide variety of business tasks in a leadership capacity.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Mature student status ( British Columbia 19 years old and plus)

- IELTS: 5.5 (or better)
- TOEFL (paper): 520 (or better)
- TOEFL (CBT): 190 (or better)

- Cambridge: FCE (or better)
- Intermediate (or better) Certificate from a Language Canada-accredited school
- Pearson English Placement Test at the Intermediate level

This course provides students with a variety of student centric learning strategies and techniques. Students will learn goal setting, planning and time management, problem solving, writing skills, computer skills, and the effective use of information technologies.
In this course students will be introduced to and learn how to apply key skills, tools, and strategies in the development and delivery of a business presentation. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of effective presentation delivery and audience engagement.
In this course students will be introduced to and learn how to apply the fundamental tools and features of Microsoft Word.
This course is designed to introduce students to all of the key features and basic functions of Microsoft Excel. Students will learn to organize, analyze, manage, and share information, create and use formulas and functions and learn fundamental data analysis techniques.
Effective and efficient administrative office procedures are essential to the success of any organization. In this course students will be introduced to the basic requirements and workflow of a professionally organized and managed office.
This course This course focuses on the essentials of project management providing students with the essential project concepts, skills, and tools that will assist them in achieving project and business objectives.
Effective and efficient business, organization, and office communication is fundamental to the success of any business. This course focuses on introducing students to the practice of business and professional communication in the workplace and across all media and platforms.
In this course students will be introduced to the principles, concepts, and practices used in marketing and how to apply these in practice. Using case studies and research, this course examines contemporary marketing methodologies and systems that allow businesses to achieve competitive advantages. The continuing impact of social media on marketing practices will be explored in detail.
This course addresses the role of effective supply chain management in the running of a business including all of the activities related to securing suppliers and delivering products and services to the customer in both local and global contexts. Students will explore the process of planning, organizing, and controlling supply chain operations through a series of seminal case studies.
This course This course introduces students to contemporary management principles and practices as they are applied in a highly competitive social media driven modern business environment. Students will learn how to use business strategy, data, logic, and software tools to make management decisions and solve business problems.
Businesses use customer relationship management strategies and tools to optimize the identification, acquisition, growth and retention of customers so that they can gain competitive advantages and maximize profits. This course examines customer relationship management principles and their application in marketing, sales, and service.
In this course students will study the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and/or services, or how economics meets the needs of society. Students will be introduced to the language of economics, underlying theories, concepts, and principles, and the tools and technologies that are currently used to influence the choices made by consumers, business, and government in local and global environments.
This course will introduce students to responsibilities of businesses through an examination of the laws and contemporary industry practices. Legal issues will be explored through case study analysis.
Students will learn to effectively identify, evaluate and resolve legal issues and liabilities with respect to applicable national, provincial and city laws and bylaws in the context of business, health, and liquor licensing and compliance, privacy, labor, human rights, safety, and employment law.
This course introduces students to the basics of bookkeeping and the generally accepted accounting principles and practices used in recording, summarising, and reporting financial information for business purposes. Students will know how to post to the general journal and ledger.
Students will be introduced to basic business mathematics used in commerce and industry. This course focuses on developing skills in using basic functions and equations to solve practical financial and mathematical problems encountered in business. Real world situations in retail businesses, using discounts, simple and compound interest are used to contextualize mathematical applications.
Students will learn to integrate and apply the fundamental bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices previously acquired in an integrated computerized accounting environment.
Building on Computer Accounting I students will learn to integrate and apply advanced bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices previously acquired, in an integrated computerized accounting environment.
Building on Computer Accounting II students will learn to integrate and apply bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices previously acquired, to a popular industry accounting software application.
This course introduces students to human resource recruitment, compensation, performance analysis, environmental and safety practices. Students will analyze contemporary issues that have an impact on the way businesses manage their organizations and employees.
This mandatory course provides students with the opportunity to apply theory to practice in a real world work setting.
This course focuses on providing students with the tools and techniques to develop, enhance and maintain a positive goal-oriented portfolio of professional career information using available online technologies, while also focusing on how to effectively manage their online profiles to create employment opportunities.

APPLICATION FEES
- International application fee: $250
- Application fees and assessment fees are non-refundable.
- Application fees are not transferrable. Students applying to a different program must pay the application fee again.
- Applications are withdrawn if an offer is rejected and the program applied to has started. To re-apply, a new application fee will be required.
