Enrolment Process

To begin the admission process, please follow these important steps

Step 1: Gather and Submit Required Documents

Please prepare the following documents:

  • Government Photo ID
  • High School Transcript (or documentation for mature students)
  • Any Post-Secondary Education Diploma/Transcript (if applicable)
  • Updated Resume

How to Submit Your Documents

  • You can upload them directly using the form below, or email them to Admissions@ccabcollege.com.
  • Make sure each file is clear and legible.
  • If you have any questions about what documents are needed, please contact our admissions team.

General Admission Requirements

  • You must be a high school graduate or have mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older).

English Language Proficiency Tests (Minimum Scores)

  • IELTS Academic: Overall score of 5.5

  • Duolingo English Test: Overall score of 95

  • TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 46

  • EIKEN: Grade Pre-1

  • CAEL: Overall score of 40

  • PTE Academic: Overall score of 43

  • CELPIP: Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, Writing 5

  • LanguageCert Academic: Overall B2 level

  • Cambridge English (FCE/B2): Overall score of 160 or “C”

  • Michigan English Test (MET): Overall B2 level

  • Cambridge Linguaskill: Overall B2 level

  • iTEP Academic: Overall score of 3.5

Alternative Measures:
1. Secondary Education – Evidence that 3 years of full-time secondary education (Grades 8-12), or 2 years if the Grades are 10, 11, or 12, have been successfully completed in the program’s language of instruction in a country where the language of instruction is one of the principal languages.

*This may be demonstrated by providing a high school transcript, completion of a BC Adult Graduation program or providing international education credentials recognized through WES, ICES, or IQAS.

2. Post-Secondary Education – Evidence of at least 2 years of full-time post-secondary education completed in English in a country where English is one of the principal languages (including recognized international credentials through WES, ICES, or IQAS).

*Language development courses (i.e., ELL courses) cannot be included in this calculation.

3. Accuplacer (Special Circumstances – Mature Domestic Students Only)
This option may only be applied when:

  • English is the program’s language of instruction, and
  • The applicant is a mature domestic student facing barriers, and
  • The applicant cannot access educational records or provide sufficient evidence of secondary or post-secondary education as outlined above.

Requirements:

  • Applicant is 19 years or older at the start of the program and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and
  • Applicant provides attestation that they have completed at least 3 years of full-time instruction in English* in a country where English is one of the principal languages, and
  • Applicant completes an Accuplacer English Assessment (Next Generation: Reading, Writing, WritePlacer) and achieves minimum scores:
    • Reading: 230
    • Writing: 230
    • WritePlacer: 4

*Language development courses (e.g., ELL/ESL courses) cannot be included in this calculation.

Note: Accuplacer may not be used to demonstrate that a student meets any admission requirement other than language proficiency.

Additional options:
– Other standardized tests may be accepted if they are listed in the current PTIRU Language Proficiency Requirements Guide or with prior approval from the Registrar.

How to Provide Proof of English Proficiency

  • Upload scanned copies of your test results or relevant transcripts along with your other documents.

  • If you’re arranging for test results to be sent directly from the testing center, ensure they are addressed to the Canada College of Arts & Business Admissions Office.

  • Select the program and fill out the Application Form – Currently being updated

Provide accurate information and fill out all required fields.

  • Digitally Sign & Submit
    • Once completed, sign electronically and submit the form.
  • Check Your Inbox
    • After submitting your application, you will receive an email from Adobe.
  • Click the Confirmation Link
    • This step finalizes your application submission.
    • Be sure to also check your spam or junk folders if you don’t see the email right away.
